The Emmy Awards announced Sunday night that the “Modern Family” and “Family Guy” comedies won the two comedy series Emmy Awards.
The awards are a nod to the success of the “Family Man” television series that has helped revive “Modern Love” and the “Dirty Jobs” movies.
“Modern Family,” which premiered in 2015, has since won four Emmys for Outstand Achievement in Comedy, Comedy Writing, Variety, and Outstanding Drama Series.
Both episodes, entitled “A Different Kind of Marriage,” aired on the Fox network in 2017 and 2018.
On Sunday, the second installment of the show, “Miles, Days and Nights,” was nominated for Outplay Achievement in Animation.

Emmy-nominated series like “The Big Bang Theory,” “Modern Romance,” “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” “The Simpsons,” “Superstore,” and “The Office” have all won multiple Emmys in the past.
In 2018, the awards were also honored for the Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography and Editing in a Television Series or Motion Picture, as well as the Outstand Outstanding Documentary Series for Out-of-Home Programming.
