A Cleveland man is blaming the summer heat on the air conditioning in his home.
Joe Miller says he had his TV on and his wife in the living room watching TV when the heat hit her face.
He says she’s also wearing a heat-blocking mask.
Miller said he’s been using an outdoor grill to cook his meals and the house has not been hot enough for him to turn off the air conditioner.
Miller is frustrated with the air-conditioner.
He says it’s not just the heat, but also the humidity and dust that keeps the air off.
Miller says he’s gotten a lot of calls about the heat from people in the area.
He also says people are asking him if he should buy an outdoor barbecue grill.
A woman says she has been using the outdoor grill since the summer.
The Ohio House of Representatives passed a bill that requires air conditioning for people who live in a home that has an air conditioning system.
The bill also requires homeowners who are under the age of 55 to buy an additional cooling device, such as a grill.
House Speaker Matt Borges says he has not seen the legislation but he has heard that some people have been inconvenienced by the bill.
